Hi there!

Each shop update will typically feature three bases.  I rotate each update to include two fingering weight yarn bases and one DK weight yarn base (either Lofty DK or Vigor depending on supplier availability).

You can be confident that your yarn is ethically sourced and 100% mueseling-free.

Superwash-treated Bluefaced Leicester yarn bases are 100% British and come from small farms all throughout the UK.

Non-Superwash Merino is Peruvian and sourced from small family run farms as well as larger farms in that region.

Superwash-treated Merino yarns come from Argentina and Uruguay.

All Superwash treated yarns are scoured and Superwash-treated in the UK to the highest environmental standards.

Yarn bases are subject to change due to supplier availability and base popularity.  Yarn prices reflect current material costs and wool market prices.  Due to the fluctuation of wool prices currently, these values may change unexpectedly.

Tayler's Favorite

80/20 Superwash Merino Wool/Nylon; Fingering

400 yards/100 grams

This is my favorite because of its softness, versatility, and the gorgeous 2-ply twist.  It's a flat yarn so it has a bit more drape than a typical 4-ply sock-weight yarn. For socks, it’s usually my go-to. Simple as that.

75/25 Superwash Bluefaced Leicester (BFL)/Nylon; Fingering

400 yards/100 grams

This is a classic Superwash yarn with a bit of Nylon for durability. The BFL gives it a bit of toothiness and heartiness; perfect for hard-wearing socks and garments.  If a yarn could be considered al dente, this would be it.

70% Superwash Merino/30% Silk; Fingering

High-Twist Single

438 yards/100 grams

This luxury yarn has a lovely drape due to the silk, making it perfect for shawls, but because of the high twist of the single-ply, it is also suitable for lots of other things that require more durability, such as socks and garments. The significant twist prevents it from pilling like other singles.

Oh Merino

*100% Untreated Merino Wool; worsted

218 yards/100 grams

Classic Aran weight yarn in all natural wool.

*Due to the nature of untreated wool yarn, non-Superwash yarn bases will show the dye-job less intensely.  Speckles will be more like watercolor details and variegated colorways will be more subtle and blended.

100% Superwash Merino; DK

236 yards/100 grams

A plump and round DK weight yarn that is made of 100% supple SW Merino. It's a favorite for its loftiness and hand and it’s versatility due to its weight.

*to be discontinued fall 2018

100% Superwash Bluefaced Leicester; DK

246 yards/100 grams

Vigor has a bit of a bite, but is still soft and lovely to work with. The BFL gives it a bit of luster and plenty of strength.  A great yarn for all walks of knitting projects in the DK weight range. A favorite for thicker socks!

75% Superwash Merino 20% Nylon 5% Gold Toned Stelina; fingering

400 yards/100 grams

The gold-toned stelina running through this yarn is stunning and makes for an almost frosted-looking colorway.  This base is essentially Tayler’s Favorite, but with the stelina fiber running throughout. All around great yarn for any project--especially socks.

80% SW Merino 10% Nylon 10% Cashmere; fingering

435 yards/100 grams

A classic yarn that’s both soft and durable, plus washable for sock knitters. Round a plump, this luxury yarn is pretty much a staple for any yarn connoisseur.

100 % SW Merino; single-ply

400 yards/100 grams

Made from super fine Merino wool, this soft single-ply yarn is ideal for shawls and light wearing garments.  Not recommended for heavily-worn items or those that may pill with constant agitation.  Save this glamorous beauty for the fancy stuff.

100% SW Merino; fingering

490 yards/100 grams

An impossibly squishy yarn.  This 3-ply beauty is plump and springy with lovely stitch definition and delicate drape.  Perfect for warm shawls, sweaters, and squishy boot socks!
